Video Capture Device

A device and software to connect your scanner to your computer to allow you to transfer images between the scanner and the computer. This would allow you to store your images in a digital .jpeg format.

Thermal Imaging Printers

The Sony UP897 thermal printer produces excellent quality hard copies from your scanner. It is extremely compact and portable, weighing only 3.2kg. The system will output an image in less than three seconds and is economical to run at only 6 pence per copy

Printer Paper

Sony and Seikosha thermal imaging paper, for their respective thermal printers is available direct from BCF.

Gel

Acoustic coupling gel is specially formulated for ultrasound diagnosis in animals. It is optimized for its acoustic properties and its consistency designed to minimize air bubbles. The gel is available in several different sizes, 250ml and 500ml bottles for portable applications or in a 5 litre container with in-built dispenser for surgery based examinations.

Carry Bag

Equipment that is used in a farm environment, will benefit from being operated inside a carry bag. To avoid having a permanently dirty scanner BCF provides custom hand built carry bags for all our scanners. These bags are padded PVC, with Velcro flaps for probe and power lead connection. The bag can be easily wiped down with a damp cloth.

Stand-off

Flex-gel stand-offs are designed and manufactured by BCF. These accessories allow the probe to offset the ultrasound image, which allows better superficial diagnosis to be performed within the focal range of the scanner. The stand-off has a flexible surface that enables a good surface contact for tendon scanning by moulding itself to the contours of the leg. There are BCF standoffs for virtually every probe from every manufacturer. Our stand-offs are unique in that they allow the probe to firmly fit inside the gel material. This allows the probe and stand-off to be held easily in one hand, which ensures a good contact between the probe surface and the stand-off material.
