SPANA Sponsorship
BCF has donated a HS1201 scanner and probe to a SPANA (Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad) project in Marrakech.
Patrick Sells is a newly qualified vet working in his local mixed practice, Sergeant's in North Wales. In November he left Liverpool Vet School on a sponsored 3,100 mile motorbike trip to Marrakech to raise money for SPANA. Patrick will then be working as a volunteer vet in the Atlas Mountains for three months at the Midelt SPANA clinic, where he will also be carrying out a study on harness-induced injuries.
Patrick (and SPANA) hope that from this, they will be able to significantly improve the quality of life for working animals.Sponsoring Patrick just 1/2p a mile (£15) would finance the full treatment of one equid in Morroco. To sponsor Patrick go to www.justgiving.com/patricksells In excess of £9,500 has been raised to date.
