Animal Husbandry 

At BCF we have many years' experience of design and manufacture of ultrasound scanners for the livestock scanning industry - sheep, cattle, goats and pigs (swine).

We produce the world's only 170 degree angle viewing probe. This allows a more thorough and speedier pregnancy diagnosis. All our scanners are designed to be reliable and extremely robust, with the capability to be operated in harsh environments.

Since 1983, we have been developing and improving systems and techniques for the use in ovine, bovine and porcine pregnancy diagnosis. The quality of the scanning service provided depends upon the proficiency of the operator and the capabilities and reliability of the ultrasonic scanner used.

Our systems have been developed with some of the most experienced and well known operators in the animal husbandry industry, with specially designed probes and scanning methods to ensure speedy and cost-effective scanning of most animal species.

Animal Applications

Ultrasound imaging equipment is used to aid farm management techniques, maximizing production efficiency. There are many uses for ultrasound diagnostic techniques within the animal husbandry industry.
